Addictive Peanut Butter Granola

Addictive Peanut Butter Granola

2 1/4 c. Old Fashioned Oats
1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/6-1/3 c. vegetable oil
1/3 c. peanut butter, chunky or smooth
1/4 c. brown sugar

Extras:
1/2 c. mini chocolate chips
1 c. mixed peanut butter and chocolate chips
1 c. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Mix together the oats, flour and baking soda in a large mixing bowl.  Stir in the vanilla.
Add the vegetable oil and peanut butter and mix.  The mixture will be a bit chunky.
Stir in the brown sugar.
Spread onto a cookie sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes or until lightly browned.  Cool and then add the extras.  Enjoy!
     Serves: 4-6

P.S. I usually double the recipe.  Also, the recipe says that it will last a week but we're lucky to make it past two days!  We all love it!

                                   Still in pajamas...

Look at it this way: you never have to put on pajamas because its all the same. Whether it's sweat pants, pajama pants or a bathrobe (which i would like to call a sweater dress) if its comfy; its clothes. Now tight jeans, those are not clothes, that's what i would call torture.
Shoot, how am i supposed to know which projection has the "poles" in correct proportion?
finally done with school...can you see the smoke rising?
I'm writing a paper on how our desires should bring us closer to God; not become our god. Really interesting.  well that's what's going on in over here. thanks Hayley, for the reminder!
       Praying for all of you-

Home Sweet Home

This is what we've been up to this week! Just staying close to home and loving it!

Ty got his creative juices flowing and made a car out of a box, paper plates and plastic cups, and put it all together by himself (o.k., I did cut a couple of pieces of tape for him)!
Kara and Brock have been spending time in the living room while Ty and I do school so we have to give them some creative ideas too.  Kara wanted to "go shopping" and she had to drive so we made a "car" at the end of the couch! Kara and Brock loved it and it made me think of all the hours my sisters and I used to "drive" on our couch!

hey girls!!

C'mon, you guys, random photo challenge: ;)

upload a photo from the last week:

The kids are writing books. . . 9 pm. . . with marshmallows to fuel their creativity. ;)
